Attending for a blood test appointment at St George’s University Hospital and Community blood clinics
Attendance after pre-booked appointments only
To provide a COVID-19 safe service with immediate effect, our blood test service is available as a pre-booked service only. We are moving a to new appointment booking service as of December 2023 so we can allow patients to book not only online, but also using an automated telephone booking line by calling 020 3376 8776.
You will need to set up an account at https://www.myappointments.online or by scanning the QR code before booking your appointment.
Before attending, please ensure that you have either booked an appointment, or an appointment has been booked on your behalf. You will receive a confirmation email that your appointment has been booked.
Routine walk-in service is no longer available. Only patients with a same day appointment in an outpatient service, or those requiring an urgent same day blood test, can use the limited urgent walk-in service. For those without a booking, an appointment may be offered at the next available time slot for that day if available, or for another day. If an appointment is booked for the same day, you may be asked to go away and come back before your scheduled appointment time.
GP blood tests: If your blood test was requested through your GP surgery, then you must attend with a blood form, or your blood test cannot be taken.
Outpatients: If you have been asked to attend for a blood test by a hospital clinician then the blood tests MUST be requested electronically, or a form been given. If this is not done, your blood test cannot be taken.
